The Consortium Fire and Rescue's framework agreement for the supply of a range of Foam Concentrates was let from 22nd April 2014.
The purpose of this procurement was to provide a multi- supplier framework agreement with an extensive range of foam products for purchasing bodies to call-off as required. Naturally, it is the responsibility of purchasing bodies across the public sector to decide which Foam Concentrate is suitable for their different operational situations.
We would like to thank Kent & Medway Towns Fire Authority for their support as Contracting Authority for this framework agreement.

The Foam Concentrates framework agreement is available to all UK Fire and Rescue Services, MOD and public sector organisations. For a more specific list of eligible users, please refer to the OJEU notice contained within the Buyers Guide.
This framework will offer Fire and Rescue Services excellent value for money and choice through increased competition in the UK market place.
Furthermore, by offering comparable products from suppliers, purchasing bodies may be able to take advantage of more competitive prices, particularly when buying in bulk. The incentive for FRAs to collaborate with each other is therefore a strong one and further helps them to achieve the requirements of the Operational Efficiency Programme.
This framework agreement was procured against a variety of foam types including Protein Foam (P), Fluoroprotein Foam (FP), Film forming fluoroprotein (FFFP), Alcohol resistant film-forming fluoroprotein (FFFP-AR), Synthetic detergent foam (SYNDET), Aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF), Alcohol resistant aqueous (AFFF-AR), Fluorine free (F3) and Solvent free foam, Training Foam, Wetting Agents and other media.
