Radios and Accessories

The Consortium Fire and Rescue's framework agreement for Radios and Accessories was let from 9th February 2015.

The purpose of this procurement was to provide a framework agreement with an extensive range of radios, accessories and servicing options for purchasing bodies to call-off from.

We would like to thank Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service for their support as Contracting Authority for this framework agreement, and also West Midlands Fire Service for allowing Pete Woodhead, ICT Senior Engineer User Support, to provide technical input during the tender stage.

Who can use the framework?

The Radios and Accessories framework agreement is available to all UK Fire and Rescue Services, MOD and public sector organisations. For a more specific list of eligible users, please refer to the OJEU notice contained within the Buyers Guide.

Value for Money

This new framework offers Fire and Rescue Services excellent value for money and choice through increased competition in the UK market place.

Furthermore, by offering comparable products from various suppliers, purchasing bodies may be able to take advantage of more competitive prices, particularly when buying in bulk.

What is on the framework?

  • Lot 1 covers the supply of hand held (including ATEX), mobile, fixed and transportable, analogue and digital radios, and accessories (including BARIE).
  • Lot 2 covers the service, maintenance and repair of radios and accessories available in Lot 1.
